InterAcademy Medical Panel (IAMP)

The InterAcademy Medical Panel (IAMP) was created in the year 2000 to facilitate the communication and the collaboration among the Academies on issues of global importance regarding Health and Medicine. It is a voluntary association formed by the medical divisions of the Science Academies and the Academies of Medicine, engaged in improving health around the world.

ABC, together with the National Academy of Medicine (ANM), represents Brazil at the IAMP. Since 2010, ABC belongs to the Executive Committee of IAMP, represented by the Academic Eduardo Moacyr Krieger , a member of both Academies. As of October 2010, when the second meeting of the Executive Committee of IAMP occurred, it became a part of the World Health Summit, the main event in the areas of Science and Health in the world.
